AI JiFeiFei: AI Companionship with Lasting Memory
Built with Kaishu Story, JiFeiFei brings responsive conversation and long-term memory to a consumer AI companion. Model compression and hardware–software co-design around an ESP32-S3 platform deliver 0.9-second end-to-end response. Led from product architecture through mass production, it reached 10,000+ units sold in its first month and 100,000+ within six months.
The challenge
An AI companion needs responsive conversation and continuity across interactions. Both had to fit a consumer hardware product built around an ESP32-S3 platform.
The approach
We combined model compression, hardware–software co-design and long-term memory in a product developed with Kaishu Story. My work connected AI architecture, embedded engineering and mass production.
The outcome
The product achieved 0.9-second end-to-end response, sold more than 10,000 units in its first month and passed 100,000 within six months.
